Pescator
Going by public bus is not very convenient as you will have to get off at the junction leading to Chao Lao beach and catch a songtaew for the rest of the trip to Sea World. (Songtaews are scarce and pricey in this area) And when returning to the junction on Sukhumwit road you will have to flag down a BKK bound bus. It is a 45 minutes ride from Chanthaburi. It is most conveniently reached by own transportation og in a minivan run by tour operators. A further advantage of having your own wheels is that you can visit this place on the way: Tamnan Pa

Pescator
I`ve only been there by public transportation and the second time in a rented car. Dunno the cost of a tour.
SpiceMan
To go from Bangkok to Oasis Sea World would take about 8 hours there and back. Thats probably more travelling than most day trippers would put up with.
Torneyboy
Amazingly cheap. Costs well over $100us in Hawaii, for a much shorter time in the water with the critters. Cheaper here
Central Scrutinizer
Thanks for this report Spiceman! Definintely now on my to-do list for the family next time down that way. This is one reason I love this board. I never would have known of this unless I stumbled over it on my trips out and about in that area. Will also check out that restaurant others mentioned in the thread as well. Thanks guys. Good info! Cent
