Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple 2. Cyclo Tour Around The City 3. Day Trip to The Mekong Delta 4. War Museum 5. Saigon Opera House 6. Notre Dame Cathedral 7. Wander Around Pham Ngo Lau 8. Saigon Water Park 9. Shopping 10. Great restaurants / food places and cool bars 11. Reunification Palace 12. Ben Thanh Market 13. Emporer Jade Pagoda 14. dddave Posted July 18, 2009 Report Share Posted July 18, 2009 PHAM NGU LAO is sort of the Koh Sarn Rd of Saigon, many inexpensive hotels, restaurants and travel agencies geared to westerners. There are several small alleyways off Pham Gnu Lao that have small hotels with restaurant/bars attached. A lot of "Freelance" girls wait tables and serve drinks at these places. They don't get paid and have to kick-back to the proprietor if they take a customer. They have to get to know you a bit before offers are made. Going rate was $50 two years ago. The attached hotel is usually available, about $10 for non-guests, free for guests though a tip is expected for the reception clerk who turns a blind eye.
