koow
Kind of funny that not one person on this thread was wondering what a SPONGE is doing in his stomach, despite all the talk about relative quality of care in US vs. 3rd world. Maybe the OP can just argue to the insurance co. that having a sponge removed is JUST ROUTINE and happens all the time. The way to OP described it (i.e., not surprised, or wondering what it was doing there).......makes me, who knows absolutely nothing about medicne, realize its a daily, common occurence. Wow, I learn something every day here. -------------------------------------- It's not human. Is that OK with you?
dean
He has good insurance in the u.s. About 7 years ago, he had major surgery, picked a doctor at UCLA to do the surgery, on recommendation and had the surgery done in the L.A. area (he lived in Dallas at the time). He did have follow up in PV, a he lives there 6-8 months of the yer. The doctor that performed the surgery didn't pick up after 3 visits back over 4 months, that there was something wrong that anti-biodics couldn't cure. I don't think I ever said gastric surgery was "minor." I just meant that he had dental work done in PV, along with check ups required from his surgery/condition from many years ago.
