FAT_AUSSIE
I had never really noticed the cost of electricity in LOS but this months bill is coming close to what 3 months of electricity is here in Aus. Eceptions being in Aus the house is lit with many downlights as opposed to economical flourecent lights in the house in Thailand. In LOS we run two air con units, 1X 22,000btu and another @ 12,000 btu, the latter runing quite often. In Aus were run rev cylce splits (heating). I tend to think that each of the two homes in either country uses a simmilar amount of power allthough here in Oz my bill usually comes in @ around AUD$180/THB 5000. Thats for tree months. This month in LOS 3500THB,thats just for 1 month! Seems a little excessive, an no nothing dodjy, seen the bill myself. Do these figures sound right? cavanami
The 2500 is OK as I am running one air con about 12 hours during the evening. TV, Thai household running 31 hours a day (or so it seems like it). All energy saving lights, some fans running here and there. Winter time, less air con and often the bill is 1000 ~ 1500. Faustian
My bill is always in excess of 3,000 Baht per month, but my building charges me 7.5-8 Baht per unit....fuckers.... Teddy, what size of house do you live in? A bleeding mansion? My bills for a 3 bedroom house in the UK were never that much!

FAT_AUSSIE
Shit then the cost of electricity in LOS is fairly pricey compared to Aus. I thought here in Oz it would have been more. I pitty the average Thai who want's to run an air con, must bleed the fuckers dry.
