I've been reading lots of the posts here and other places, and I just wanted a last-minute check.

 

I like to do NP, SC and PP. I've read 'BF 800BHT' a couple of times.(should still be 600?)

 

I've read lady drink 200.

 

I've read beer (I guess heineken, etc) 150-250.

 

LT/ST seem to be stable.

 

I'm not a cheap charlie; I just like to know the going rates.

 

Any other current info/advice would also be appreciated. I'm in from 8-19~9-14.

Well, you're kind of right with the amounts in your post.

 

Every bar varies, and every bar is different.

 

Some bars in Soi Cowboy have a "happy hour" where you can get a beer for 70 baht until 9.00pm or so.

 

Then the price varies from 125-150 depending on where you go.

 

Lady drink prices are variable as well. I paid 125 in some bars last week, 200 in Shark Bar in Soi Cowboy, (but she was drinking Black Soda and I didn't know), and a "normal" lady drink in Susie Wong seemed to be 150 baht.

 

Bar fines 600 baht in most bars, but some charge more, and for so-called "special" ladies.

 

Not sure about Patpong as I don't go there at all.

 

Soi Cowboy a lot busier than Nana Plaza at the moment.

 

For more bang-for-your-buck, I'm finding Pattaya a much easier on the wallet experience right now than I did in Bangkok last week.

 

Spending about half per night what I did in Bangkok and having a much better time.

 

Much more variety of ladies down here too - I was disappointed with the standard in Bangkok last week but YMMV.

 

A lot more raunchy stuff going on in the gogos down here in Pattaya too right now.

 

For me, it's a no-brainer. Pattaya is where it's at.

Patpong from my past experience (haven't been to LOS for a year) is cheaper for drinks and lady drinks than SC or NEP. :thumbup:

Still haven't gone to Pattaya. Once I get into the BKK sleep all day slink all night, I never seem to escape. I guess I'll read the Pattaya threads.

I still think Star of Light is one of the best deals. Went their one afternoon, and after 3 hours still didn't have a beer. Didn't even buy one lady's drink. Shit, before I left they were serving me water - and that was free also.
