Pretty saddened by your insinuations. I thought you were a reasonable person. I got that wrong!

The ladies I know are all 18+ and simply friends. It may surprise you to learn that Thai ladies are curious about farang guys and often talk about their likes and dislikes. If you explore the world sometime, you might find ladies often talk about men. This apparently will come as a shock to you.

Ok, Faustian. I will take it as face value that you know several thousand thai girls and you talk to them about men. Assertion accepted 100%. But for you to feign complete nonchalance about such a social feat has got to be some kind of rhetorical pretense.

I'm not insinuating you are a pimp of course. That was a joke. I not only doubt the economic necessity of pimps in Thailand but also doubt that a farang could keep his "pimp hand strong" with thai girls.

I don't see how teacher is an unreasonable guess in Thailand. Mekong may see that as a sign of how clueless I am about the vibrant professional expat scene. But really, I'm still curious as to what kind of profession involves meeting several thousand girls. I assure you, it really isn't as obvious as you and Mekong might think.

Ok, since I've been reprimanded for my lack of imagination let me expand my guesses. Gynecologist? Soap opera casting director? Bartender? Am I getting close?

this is a forum, when u wanna post , u have to be ready to let pple answer back, if u cant take it, then move on.. not mutter something like for fuck sake..

ahh so now u r another 1 who also met thousandsssssssss.. yeah so many places to meet so many girls.. 1 new year eve party down at any disco , booom, str away i met thousands too

dont forget, u aint the only farang in the country...

How would I forget that I am not the only farang in Thailand, FFS most of my close friends are farangs in Thailand.

You claim to have met numerous people by being in a crowd, good for you. Personaly I have lived in Thailand for nearly 19 years and have worked for multinationals for 50% of the time with staff of 1200+ where not only are 90% of staff Thai but 40%+ of the Thais were female, as a farang working in Thailand one is expected to give "Skills Transfer" so I did get close proffesionaly with many Thais of both genders. Then add in clients and vendors who I was in contact with on a daily basis and therefore had a professional relationship with many Thais.

Then I have the friends of my wife, with the secondary and tertiary contacts via weddings, corporate team bonding weekends etc etc, the Thai way of socialising, its not a social scene one can hijack its a scene one has to be invited into, it takes time.

Anyone can use the search function and find out my previous postings about how I met my wife on a Greyhound bus in Northern USA, she was on a weekend away from her masters studies I was a few days off work and flew to Seatlle to do a west-east bus ride and I had her sat in next seat to me and initiated a conversation.

The more people seek the less they find, cannot see wood for trees syndrome. but then again I doubt that "Wife" Material is available in the Farang Ghetto's. Just my opinions.

I know I am not the only Farang in Thailand, but obviously based on yours and others comments I am further up the ladder than you are.

I will not loose sleep worrying about you and yours, but 2-3 people have made it to my level ... yes egotistical but I can afford to be.

I was simply curious...I am nice too...ask anyone who knows me...ummm, but the one person here who did know me left, so in the meantime, you'll have to take my word for it :cover:

Be careful in seeking a new acquaintance/replacement "on the rebound". Doesn't often work out well. :grinyes:

Colonel Sanders sighting tonight at Saxophone Pub near Victory Monument. Drew Carey was also there. That said, if you don't look like either or both of those, then Saxophone is a good place to meet solidly middle class Thai women who might be well intrigued by the great white hope. Also a nice smattering of pockmarked Issan sadcases on the hunt -- but easy prey is easy prey, and no barfine, so who can complain. It gets busier (in all senses of the word) after midnight.

I think he knows several thousand not in the Biblical sense but in the Facebook/Hi5 sense, id est, "thanx for the add!" No great feat there for anyone with a mouse. And as we see over and over, the term "girls" leaves broad (oh how we pun) room for interpretation. So what if your "uni girl" is a cashier from Big C?

Also, I must say, in the most heterosexual and homophobic way possible, that I greatly enjoy your writing. Keep on keeping that hand strong, if at all possible.

What is it about Thai expats that always reminds me of Master laughing as Grasshopper tries to swipe the pebble from his hand?

They are the laughing stock of the local population, so they have to find someone to outsmart. Barstool intelligentsia. (In some cases, wine bar barstool -- still a barstool.)

Guess again.

It amuses me greatly that you have no clue.

Helpful hint...try reading what I wrote previously.
