doxx
I picked up a Tokyo guide book on a whim earlier today while strolling Sukumwhit. Having a coffee at Starbucks and watching hookers court customers on the sidewalk, I decided to make a weekend trip to eat proper Sushi and buy some new camera gear. Question is, what airlines should I be looking at for a cheap trip?
MooNoi
I just had a quick look online, and the cheapest I found was with United at about $580 USD. Probably cheaper to go through an agent in BKK of course. Might also be cheaper if you're prepared to transit somewhere, but $580 round-trip (including taxes and fuel surcharges) doesn't sound too bad to me. cavanami
Get to a travel agent in BKK. Maybe Stick's site has some listed?
New Petchburi Pete
United is a good deal as it is probably the last airline that lets you check in 2 bags (limit 23-24 kg/ea) plus a carry-on and a laptop or briefcase. Call United's office in BKK for exact weight limits, etc.
Pom Michael
TG quoted yesterday for Dec travel (11-15th) at 27,500 THB.
MooNoi
TG quoted yesterday for Dec travel (11-15th) at 27,500 THB. Which makes UA look like a great deal. Why are TG so much more expensive than other airlines when (most of) their aircraft are so old and crappy?
TroyinEwa/Perv
I've got a one-way ZED fare ticket for 74 bucks I could let you have. Bugger is you'll have to get a fake passport and airline ID with my name on it.
Pom Michael
Especially since I was comparing PEN-BKK-TYO-BKK-PEN against BKK-TYO-BKK. The Penang origin was only 2,350 MYR (about THB 23,500) - but I'm not sure if this is 100% comparison as the Penang price was an excursion fare and the Bangkok price was a normal fare. So much easier than requesting a freebie and it didn't matter whether you were trying to get to Bangers from Manila, Taipei, Hongkers, Sillypore or wherever.
