Bangkoktraveler
Years ago, I think it was the Bangkok Post, ran an article telling about the percentage of Thai police who were taking gout medication - main problem - dehydration and alchol. Gadfly
I suggest you see a doctor or two. About two years ago one of my knees was very stiff and sore. The first doctor I saw was convinced it was gout. They took a serious amount of blood and checked me for various diseases, but couldn't find one. He almost seemed disappointed by the results. The pain continued and I saw another and older doctor. He recommended some knee exercises. Once I stared doing those exercises, the pain went away and hasn't returned since (and I am crazy enough to continue to do long distance running here).
