What are the Logistics in the Massage Shops?

I've been in Thailand for many years, and yet have never had a massage in one of those shops that seem to be everywhere in Pattaya now. I'm curious--how do things work?

Here are some of my logistical questions: From Ikkrang's massage girl trip report, I see that you usually take a shower first, or am I mistaken? If so, do you return to the booth/partitioned area with just a towel on or what?

I realize that it's probably different at each shop, but I was just wondering how things work.

In the MP I frequent frequently, it seems to be a custom that if you want more then massage (certainly if you want more then just a tug'n pull, you honor the service provider by having a shower. Smelly bodies don't encourage intimacy. Afterwards, I lie down with towel loosely draped over my buttocks, face down.

If shower not offered, I just undress and lie down same way, and just wait to see what happens.

Of course, once you know a SP personally, procedur may vary.

I don't take more then a little over my anticipated tip plus fee.
