No sa-weat, will do. However, they are almost always from the Bangkok Post and appear on the website's front page. There is no "rest of the story" and 90% of the time there's never any follow up! :dunno:

Private ownership of firearms is difficult in Thailand and requires a licence. Thus the shootings are done with illegally bought and owned weapons. Even Thai hitmen are too cheap to take target practice. They prefer to get up close, so they can't miss.

I agree they are on the front page, but for those of us that dont see your threads for a few days, they tend to fall off the front of the paper.

As for thai hit men... You would think if some one like me were to make a career change, a person with true skills or a good dose of training could command a hefty fee! :p

But you're a bit obvious looking. A colleague's father-in-law was a hitman. The family says he would disappear periodically, then return with a pocket full of money. Hitmen are always chosen from a different part of the country, so they won't be recognised. This guy was from the north, so he always worked the central provinces or the south. He was never caught and died of natural causes. Most don't!

I was a demolitions specialist, among other things. I once got a feeler from the IRA Provos' contact man in Thailand. (He was Boston Irish, what else. :( ) I told him no thanks, I didn't like killing people who had never bothered me.

p.s. If you want to know something about Thai hitmen, get Colin Piprell's Kicking Dogs. It's a good read! :)
