New Petchburi Pete
Thank you KS and 'hello' to you and all, I am surviving and doing ok in farang land. My wife and our son are doing great. I have much to relate, and will do so soon. Today I will have a needle biopsy of the prostate in Boston ... 3 hr. drive in and maybe more on the way home if traffic is as usual. If feeling up to it after the procedure, we hope to try a highly touted Thai restaurant on Harvard St. in Brookline. We no longer get our hopes up for Thai restaurants in the US ... they just don't compare to what's in LOS. But, I still engage in wishful thinking! More later. Mekong
Pete, Given your medical procedures I could think of many a new boardname for ya, but I will keep them to myself. Glad to hear that your family is settling in OK state side, one less thing for you to be concerned about. Hope the Biops results are positive, keep smiling Bro'. shygye
If it is a "real" Thai restaurant, order off-menu.
Brink15
Pete, My best to you and I hope the results are positive, as in negative. It's been over a decade since my last romp through Brookline but we found a very authentic (for the US) place on Beacon Street called Rod Dee Thai We visited because we were told they catered to the Thai student population of local schools like BU,BC etc. The food was very 'bpep thai' but the place pretty basic as far as decor. My all time favorite was Siam Square which was the only Thai restaurant in Chinatown. Closed years ago. Too bad. I celebrated my original departure for Thailand there in '94. What a send off it was. All the best to your and your family.
