Last night driving along Suk I saw there was a construction site crane keeled over and had smashed into the back of the Miami hotel, Soi 13?, Looks like it came away at the base. Had it gone the other way it would have been all over Suk and the sky train. Coming up Suk again about 2:30am Sat morning they had the road blocked and appeared to be dismantling it. Also saw about 7pm an army truck parked on Suk outside the Westin with some big re-entrant horn speakers on the bag and some army dudes in green fatigues singing karaoke. Is this a new anti-red weapon or what? Thai army huh. Have heard of mobile canteens but mobile karaoke?! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

This morning (Saturday) there were still plenty of armed police and military around the Asoke Intersection. Plus more barbed wire stacks on the sidewalk.
