This morning 4am Bkk time but 9am here, the british twat that was reporting on the televisual extravaganza, seems to have got it nearly right.

Showed the Red leaders quitting, showed the protestors leaving and showed what he referred to as militia torching buildings.

And, importantly, stated quite clearly that it wasn't all the Army doing the shooting, the militia was causing a lot of the death and injury.

I hope my friends (you know who you are) are safe and well and that this will be over quickly.

It does not matter, the Red Shirts are still responsible. They chose to partner with the blackshirts and militias so they bear responsibilitie.

However, I do respect some of the Red leaders for being men about this and stepping down, but I think it's too late. Their place in Thai history will not be good.

Back here in America everyone is ingorant about this. Could, and has, happened here.

Some are claiming it isn't the Red Shirts burning the building but imposters - a third faction. Any truth to this?

could be the red herring faction

Watch some of the videos on YouTube of Central World burning. Red shirts are throwing rocks and fueling the fire. In one video when the flames get big the camera pans around and there are heaps of women and oldies clapping and celebrating at the mall's destruction. It's the behaviour of barbarians.

The spokesman of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said 35 places in Bangkok were hit by arsons Wednesday night and early Thursday.

Thanom On-ketphol, the BMA spokesman, said the places included 17 branches of five banks.

Other places were department stores, minimarts, 7-Eleven shops and Lotus Express shops as well as several houses.

Attempts to rescue the residents were hindered by gunmen in [color:red]black shits[/color] who fired at fire trucks, the spokesman said.

Jatuporn is a sitting member of Parliament, he has immunity at this point, they won’t even be able to hold him. There is a mechanism for the house to unseat him, wonder if the coalition will do so.

Uh, so the constitution allows for immunity to charges of terrorism? So MP's can go blow up buildings with impunity? Interesting law.
