Myanmar Visa on Arrival from May 1st 2010

Recommended Posts

I can get a VOA at Tachilek in the north that is good for 2 weeks but I can only travel to certain parts of the country. Keng Tung, Mong Tek and I think as far north as the casino towns near China.

A quick search reveals that there is a VOA booth at Yangon Airport but it has to be pre arranged through a travel agent.

A Burmese visa takes about 2 days at the embassy in Bangkok.

It's good to bear in mind that the goal posts move on a regular basis.

After a little more time in the mysterious east it won't seem out of the ordinary at all. B)

MM why don't you just try a travel agent when you get to BKK?

Maybe for an extra few baht they will do the legwork for you?

Not sure where you are staying but there used to be a little travel agent in the Federal Hotel in Soi 11 who was good at that shit.
