Flashermac
I heard of a men's pick up place on Silom in the mid 1980s, sort of a freelancers bar. To outsiders it appeared like a restaurant, as did the old Thermae Coffee Shop. The "customers" allegedly were middle aged Thai women whose wealthy husbands had dumped them for a younger mia noi. It was their way of getting back. Some Farangs worked there too. A friend was advised to try it, since he was young and single. He decline d- figuring he couldn't get it up for some of the middle aged gals. (This was before viagra.)

waerth
The comedy group played in a number of these kind of venues. Not in the ones in the article though. One of them is on the road connecting Pracharat Bamphen to 20 Mithuna road in the Huai Kwang area! Some old hags offered me money to sit with them and drink with them. Didn't do it as I had enough money then. Right now ..... I would!
The_Munchmaster
Waerth, stop complaining about not having money, it's getting tedious. You've chosen your lot in life so accept it. If you want money get a real job.
allistar
A bit harsh there, MM. I didn't take his comment as a declaration of poverty but a personal note about his life experiences.
Flashermac
He's doing what he likes. How many people can say that about their job? Unfortunately, pay in jobs one likes tends to suck.
