What do I need and where do I get it? Definitely at all major airports, but almost probably overprice. Or, much cheaper, online at Amazon e.g.. Just google for "Airline Power Adapter". Specialist Posted July 17, 2010 Report Share Posted July 17, 2010 First, talk with the airline and find out if the power port will be the "Empower ®" 15V DC power port, or a 110 VAC port. See Rink and Rink for more information. As far as I know, American Airlines is all Empower ®, no 110 VAC ports. I don't know what JAL has, probably Empower ®. If it is the Empower ® port, you will need an appropriate power supply, which will include the necessary plug. If it is a 110 VAC port, you won't need anything special, beyond a 110 VAC cord. Specialist Posted July 18, 2010 Report Share Posted July 18, 2010 Possible. Thai plugs are unpolarized, and the outlets were probably designed for them. (Not a good thing, by the way.) An American groundbuster (3-prong to 2-prong adapter) might help. They generally have unpolarized prongs, but accept polarized plugs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
