I got it in the "Bargain Bin" at the local DVD store at home and brought it with me to watch during daytimes in the hotel. Have watched the first 3 episodes, so not finished yet, but, whilst it is far-fetched at times, (eg. 2 farangs in pick up truck go to Isaan village and "buy" girls for 3000 baht each to use in their bars - does this actually happen?), it's still an interesting take on the Pattaya scene and the sadness of girls who are trafficked to Europe to serve in brothels. Anyone else seen it? I know it was on TV in Australia a while ago, but I didn't catch it then. Worth a look if you haven't. Nervous God Posted September 17, 2010 Report Share Posted September 17, 2010 No - girls go to the cities when they are recruited by their friends, cousins etc. 90% of Families always follow same trade - wife went to Bangkok to work first in a factory where family worked, then as a maid, then later as a dek server (dressed as a boy, but that's another story) If a friend get's into a bar, she gets a bonus for bringing more friends down.
