MooNoi
I was thinking of somewhere air conditioned, Lusty!!!
TroyinEwa/Perv
You could buy 4 or 5 MOS then walk in the Nana Hotel lobby. That has aircon. Can't think of a better way to have a Christmas lunch.
TroyinEwa/Perv
I will be in Bangkok with a mate this Christmas and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a decent Christmas lunch? (Staying Suk Soi 4 - Nana). Maybe Landmark? Westin? Novotel Siam Square? Don't mind paying a bit for a decent lunch. Any suggestions welcome! (Would love to go to Cent's restaurant for lunch but I think Surin might be a little far for a day trip!! Lol) Here's Bourbons Street's Xmas lunch info. Haven't check any others yet but I'm sure their menus are posted if you look. Link
MooNoi
Thanks Perv. Actually, we're looking for something a bit more upmarket than Bourbon St for the day. I booked yesterday for Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit - 1100 baht for Xmas lunch which sounds like a pretty good deal and in nice surroundings.
LizardKing
Best upmarket would be a) Shangri-la Next2 (fresh remodel), Lord Jim's at Oriental (can never go wrong) or c) Flow at Millennium Hilton (great wine & cheese). Bring money. None will be under B4k w/o drinks methinks. But all worth every satang as well. Should we be in Bangers and not HKG or Tokyo, Mrs LK & I will be hitting one of those three... farangman
I have been to Queen Victoria on Soi 23 in previous years and never been disappointed. So for those people not looking for up-market type places, here is the menu for this year: Christmas Menu Serving from December 20th: Roasted Pumpkin & Thyme Soup with Gruyere B165 or Prawn Cocktail with Seafood Sauce B220 --------------------- Roast Turkey & Roast Pork with Stuffing B399 Cranberry Sauce Sausage & Bacon Roll Roasted & Creamed Potato Brussel Sprouts Glazed Carrots Cauliflower Florets Minted Garden Peas --------------------- Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter B175 Mince Pie Glass of House Wine B135 [color:red]Set Menu B875[/color] Or as Individually Priced Areas available for private parties

I've heard that The Oriental does a fantastic Xmas lunch. If "money was no object" I would be heading there. However, as we're staying in Sukhumwit, on holidays and not "overly Xmas-ey people", my buddy and are are more than happy with Sheraton Grande Suk. And I think 1100 is a good price for lunch there. Pom Michael
Great price actually - maybe too good to be true really. Is that with a 50% discount card?
