Bangkoktraveler
Mitt Romney's great, great grand father (Parley Pratt) got shot and stabbed to death by his 12th wife's 'real' husband on May 13. 1857. This happened in Arkansas. A wagon trained left Arkansas headed to California via Utah shortly after that death. When the wagan trail arrived in Utah, on 9/11 (the first 9/11) is when the Mormons got 'an eye for an eye' and killed all of the people of the wagon train except those younger then 8 and took about $300,000.00 of their wealth. This massacred occurred within the week when Bringham Young was declaring Utah a soverign 'State'.
Bangkoktraveler
Arizona's great 'hero' Russell Pearce who penned SB1070 is a Mormon and his great, great, grandfather participated in the Meadow Mountain massacre. I was surprised to find that Russell Pearce is a Mormon! Small world.
Flashermac
Parley Pratt was one. He convinced a woman separated from her lawfully wedded husband that no marriage but an LDS wedding marriage was legal in the eyes of God. She had no need to divorce the guy she'd left, since her marriage to him was false. (Never mind that it was legally registered in the county it took place.) The gal moved in with Pratt and become a plural wife. When the husband found out the "missionary" was shagging his Mrs., he tracked him down and killed him. A court refused to convict the killers since the Pratt was messing with another man's wife. The Mormons were offended! Fuck 'em. Meanwhile, something for Cav: Obama's real father found! allistar
This should make Cav happy; the GOP and Mitt Romney are endorsing Paul's call for an audit of the Federal Reserve http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2012/08/21/159594780/romney-and-gop-strike-deal-with-ron-paul-loyalists-before-convention?ft=1&f=139544303

It was Parley Pratt who made it public that polygamy is okay. What most people don't know is the Mormons got tossed out of New York State because some of the Mormons had slaves. The Mormons claimed slavery and polygamy came right out of the mouth of God. It is amazing how many times man's governments had the final say about God's words and found the words of God to be wrong! Bangkoktraveler
It is hard to believe that Parley Pratt, Mitt Romney's great, great, grand father was behind so much trouble that was leveled upon the Mormons.

Bangkoktraveler
So what? Religious beliefs carry over into the political circus. Not too long ago Mormon's looked upon Blacks as the lowest of lowest..... Mexicans were considered by Mormons to be almost on the same level as Blacks. Romney is from the Mormon old school which were taught Blacks are (bad)....... Will this old hatred carry over into the election? In Arizona, old Mormon hatred spills over in the various political offices held by Mormons so why not on a national scale?
unit731
"Wednesday marks the 16th anniversary of President Clinton's welfare overhaul. That law has become a major issue in this year's presidential campaign. Republican Mitt Romney keeps saying that President Obama has gutted the law, even though every major fact-checking organization says the attacks are false." unit731
"NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- President Obama and Mitt Romney both say they are focused on improving the lives of middle-class Americans, but a new poll suggests that the president has a slight edge over his challenger with the key demographic group. Just more than half -- 52% -- of middle-class adults said the president's policies would benefit them should he win a second term. A lower number -- 42% -- of respondents said that Romney's policies would help the middle class." WINK
