#2 is most likely, IMO. :dunno:

More details about the affair are coming out.

Paula Broadwell, the woman reported to be having an affair with CIA Director David Petraeus, sent harassing emails to State Department official, the AP reported.

Jill Kelley, the woman who received emails from Broadwell that prompted her to alert FBI, reportedly works as a State Department military liaison.

According to the Washington Post, the woman was "frightened" for her safety and contacted the FBI for protection. The Post describes the emails as "threatening."

This Paula Bodwell seems to be a tough cookie. But seeing photographs of Petraeus' wife I can understand that he now and then wanted to dine outside the house.

Multiple states petition Obama to secede from Union, start own governments

On November 12, 2012, Policy Mic reported that 18 states have filed petitions with the White House to withdraw from the Union and create their own governments. The petitions followed President Obama’s tight race that left many Republicans and Independents surprised and in shock. As fear mounts as to what four more years under Obama’s leadership spreads amongst many citizens nationwide, many have turned to signing their state’s official petition on the White House website. While many debate the results the petitions will have in the end, they do signify that a portion of the nation remains divided after the nation has faced the costliest presidential election in U.S. history.

As of Monday morning, the 18 states that have requested secession from the Union are Georgia, New York, South Carolina, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Colorado, Montana, New Jersey, Indiana, North Dakota, Oregon and Missouri.

A petition must have 25,000 signatures within 30 days before it is considered for hearing. Several of the current petitions are nearing the mark and may become eligible for consideration. While it is unlikely the states would be granted secession, the petitions are an indicator of how divided the country has become.

As more petitions have been filed each day, we will continue to monitor the number of secession petitions currently filed with the White House.

And then we will get districts that want to secede from states as some areas had a majority Democratic vote. The US is becoming weirder than I could have ever imagined!

And this is not looney it is downright scary:

End the Military’s Discrimination against Non-Religious Service Members

The US military fails to provide Equal Opportunity for non-religious service members.

We are forced to participate in religious rituals during official ceremonies. This is not free exercise, this is forced exercise. Worship belongs in voluntary services, not in mandatory formations. This is unconstitutional establishment of an official preference for religion over non-religion.

We are forced to take an unconstitutional religious test for “Spiritual Fitnessâ€. Those who fail the test are forced to take remedial training instructing them to go to church and pray. This proselytization by the US military is forced onto us against our will.

These policies create a hostile environment, division, and resentment within the military, destroying morale and threatening national security.

In my army days I was never compelled to attend any religious service whatsoever, unless you count the chaplain praying at a memorial for our dead (and even that was not compulsary). Non-believers would just stand silent. What is so "discriminatory" about that? Fuck 'em. They didn't have to enlist.
