TheCorinthian
USS Ronald Reagan Crew Members Sick With Cancer Three Years After Fukushima Contamination Nearly three years after the destruction of Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, at least 70 U.S. Navy sailors who participated in relief efforts after the accident have been suffering from radiation sickness and even cancer as the crew of the USS Ronald Reagan was exposed to fallout. 70.... out of 6000...? wow... (kind of... well maybe a little "wow")
cavanami
That is 70 that the Navy admits to being sick...check in 20 years from now...remember agent orange, the harmless chemical???
Flashermac
I have a friend who was one of those GIs who were lined up on an island to watch a bomb blast at Bikini Atoll in the 1950s. He told me that even though he has had no health problems, he is nevertheless rated by VA at a 100% disability just for being exposed to the radiation. Let me guess.... It is just flat out impossible that could be something unrelated, right?
cavanami
Now the VA accepts that agent orange caused a lot of damage to the US soldiers (and others)...you don't know of this ruling? If the VA gets off the $$$ and resources to finally take care of out soldiers, that is clear enough for me.

Answer the question please: Is just flat out impossible that the cancer of the 70 people on that ship could be unrelated to the accident in Japan? cavanami
Nothing is impossible but somethings are more likely to happen under certain conditions. If it walks like a duck and looks like a duck and sounds like a duck...guess what is most likely...
Flashermac
But we had to grab our ankles as we walked.

cavanami
This is slightly dated, but.... In reverse order, our last eight presidents: A hillbilly with a permanent hard-on; an upper-class bureaucrat-twit; an actor-imbecile; a born again Christian peanut farmer; an unelected college football lineman; a paranoid moral dwarf; a vulgar cowboy criminal; and a mediocre playboy sex fiend.
