passingthru69
Was the area on the east side of the main trk. gate about 1 mile south? If so there are dump trailers coming out of that area when I was there last in the fall. Big check point with armed guards and sensors just under the canopy. cavanami
The pattern continues...shooters on mind bending, doctor prescribed drugs... Army Admits Fort Hood Shooter Was on Psychiatric Drugs http://www.infowars.com/army-admits-fort-hood-shooter-was-on-psychiatric-drugs/ Lt. Gen. Mark A. Milley acknowledged that Fort Hood gunman Ivan Lopez was taking psychiatric medication before the shooting, underscoring yet again the clear and consistent connection between mass shooting incidents and SSRI drugs. “Was he on any sort of medications….SSRI’s, anti-depressants, anything of that nature,†an Infowars reporter asked Milley, to which the General responded, “He was on medications that’s correct.†In a subsequent report, officials also admitted that Lopez had been prescribed Ambien, a sleeping pill associated with accidents and aggressive outbursts. 34-year-old Lopez, who shot dead three colleagues and injured 16 others before turning the gun on himself, returned from Iraq suffering from “mental problems,†according to officials. The obvious link between psychiatric drugs and violent outbursts is a common theme that crops up in almost every mass shooting incident, yet the media is routinely loathe to make the connection... Flashermac
<< "We have very strong evidence that he had a medical history that indicated an unstable psychiatric or psychological condition," said Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, head of the Army's III Corps at Fort Hood, of Lopez. "There was no indication that he was targeting specific people." Milley hinted at a motive for the shooting. "There may have been a verbal altercation with another soldier or soldiers," he said. "There is a strong possibility that that immediately preceded the shooting." >> 34-year-old E4 and father of 3 children, Puerto Rican. Had never been in combat, but was being evaluated for PTSD. The whole situation is strange.
cavanami
The buzz is...that there drugs push people over the edge Can we say all (?) these shootings the last few years have the common thread that all the shooters were on these heavy duty drugs? I know, "all" is a powerful word to use but from what I read, that is the case.
Flashermac
Fort Hood gunman was on a cocktail of prescription drugs A US soldier who shot dead three comrades and wounded 16 others before killing himself was on a cocktail of prescription drugs and had managed to smuggle a semi-automatic handgun on to one of America’s largest military bases. Specialist Ivan Lopez, 34, who had been prescribed drugs including anti-depressants and Ambien for insomnia, had been deployed to Iraq as a truck driver for four months in 2011. After his return he told senior officers he had suffered a traumatic brain injury, but military officials said he had not been directly involved in combat and had not been wounded. According to friends in his home town of Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, Lopez had been devastated by the death of his mother from a heart attack in October, and his grandmother earlier this year. ... The shooting highlighted the scale of the mental health legacy from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10742912/Fort-Hood-gunman-was-on-a-cocktail-of-prescription-drugs.html
Flashermac
But why ... if not for these drugs? You didn't see shooting like these and suicides of veterans after previous wars. And these are even coming from non-combat vets. The military has to get serious and figure out what they are doing wrong.
