Ex-Navy sailor pardoned by Trump says he's suing Comey and Obama

A former Navy sailor who is one of five people to receive a pardon from President Donald Trump is planning to file a lawsuit against Obama administration officials, alleging that he was subject to unequal protection of the law. Specifically, Kristian Saucier, who served a year in federal prison for taking photos of classified sections of the submarine on which he worked, argues that the same officials who meted out punishment to him for his actions chose to be lenient with Hillary Clinton in her use of a private email server and handling of classified information. His lawyer, Ronald Daigle, told Fox News on Monday that the lawsuit, which he expects to file soon in Manhattan, will name the U.S. ...

I see Mueller has filed a motion to revoke Manafort's bail for witness tampering - he's already got two ankle bracelets, what will they do? chain him inside a block of concrete and throw it into the river?

Another pardon coming soon....

And on a sensible note, by accepting a pardon, one admits guilt and having a pardon one cannot re-litigate the trial. Sentencing is part of the process for which, one has been pardoned, to have a go at the sentencers is moot.

If one was innocent, the trial and sentence would have been set aside. No need for a pardon.

Ford pardoned Nixon for any crimes he may have committed while president. Trump could pardon anybody under investigation, including himself, for any crimes they may have committed. The president, however, is not above the law. The law allows him to do this. Should the law be changed? The law also says the president can be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors....

If one 'may have' committed a crime, it is only a crime committed, when one has been accused or charged, or tried, or convicted or jailed for it.

Ergo, one cannot be innocent or guilty of something that has not happened. So a pardon, for something, say, theft, that may have happened, will only be applied once the crime of theft has been applied.

So my assertion that accepting a pardon for a crime, that one has been charged, tried, convicted and jailed for, one admits guilt, stands.

" Trump could pardon anybody under investigation, including himself, for any crimes they may have committed. "

Sure, but that's only applicable once the crime is applied, otherwise, he could and probably would try to, issue a pardon to "everyone who is Trump's family, friends, associates, worldwide..." but such a blanket pardon wouldn't fly.

So you see, you can't pluck someone off the street who has never been charged, tried, convicted or jailed for anything, and give them an "innocence ticket" for the rest of their lives, you can only apply a pardon to something that gets raised. Trump can't pardon Manafort for the Great Train Robbery, only for crimes that are levelled at Manafort.

Pardons generally have to be for something. In Nixon's case they woulda had to find a crime, he committed whilst president to add to the list of things pardonable whilst he was president.

So what they were saying was, "if we find that he was shooting dwarves in the broom closet with a speargun resulting 23 deaths, whilst president" then he's pardoned from any crime associated with such. But if they don't find that he was in the closet killing dwarves, then the pardon does not apply to dwarf murders in his case.

"The president, however, is not above the law. The law allows him to do this. " but if he did he would be declaring "I am God", he'd last about 10 minutes.

That was fun...

I'm not sure Trump will make it very much farther. The polls are showing fatigue and Putin just said publicly that he and Trump talk all the time, over the telephone.

Apparently, the US Prez can issue blanket pardons, which is what Obie and Slick Willy did.

In LOS, the Takkyites kept trying for a royal pardon for their courageous leader, but the courts pointed out that to receive a pardon, once must be in prison. But there was no way Takky would leave his mansions-in-exile for even a single night in a jail cell, no matter how luxurious it might be.

p.s. When Chalerm's son shot a police officer at a night club and then deserted from the Army, he eventually was persuaded to surrender for "justice". He was kept in a jail cell from which he ordered his meals delivered from fancy restaurants and also was apparently allowed "passes" to go into the city and get laid. Chalerm also had his kid restored to his Army rank of 2LT, even though desertion is an "unpardonable offense" in the RT Army.

Ain't politics great?
