...lets be honest. Trump has made press interaction a contact sport from the start. Applaud it if you are a supporter but to expect a benign press after is a bit hypocritical. If we are honest we will admit that we complain about the unfairness of the press if its a president we like and we complain they aren't being tough enough if its a president we don't like. I have read almost every one of Woodward's bios of Presidents and without exception they all speak of contentious relationships with the press. All to a person. It's a given and that didn't change under Obama or Bush.

Conceding Acosta could be seen as rude. Even with that concession, you do NOT take press credentials. And to support that is going beyond what is accepted practice. Finally, the white house did not use actual video as its evidence to ban him but a doctored video. That itself condemns the white house. If one has to lie to support a decision they have conceded the moral high ground, end of story.

Politics but different topic. The one HUGE takeaway from this election season isn't that the Blue Wave was more of smaller tide of water wading in but the number of red state voters in districts and states Trump won huge and solid red that switched to socialist democratic candidates. Ojeda in West Virginia district Trump won by over 36 points, narrowed that in a loss massively.

Other candidates across the country. The future whether you like it or not, seems to be treading heavily to socialist democratic candidates whose main platform (so far ) is medicare for everyone, no corporate money in politics, and free or low cost college tuition to people, among other ideas. Its very populist. Its very pro working and middle class. And I think when the next crash or recession happens they will elections. This was just the opening round.

Cavanami, let me explain English to you ::

So your headline is -

["Acosta the Accoster Coverage and Fake News Are Destroying Our Republic and You Must Turn Them Off!"]

and I reply 'Is that the infowars stuff too?"

then you retort "No Coss, just the FACTS."

This exchange, in English, says:

Cavanami - Turn Off Fake News

Coss - Turn Off InfoWars too?

Cavanami - No, just Turn Off the Facts

You're welcome...

If you meant something else, please express it in English and with clarity, knee-jerk redneck dialects, are not universally understood.

What is the most disturbing is the White House using Infowars as a credible source of information Very, very scary. Alex Jones was the one Trump got the notion Obama was spying on him. And Trump believed it enough to order an investigation. Alex Jones?! You are the president with the world's sophisticated spy network and their boss as well as the boss of the FBI who can easily find out or admit and its Alex Jones? This is just one of too many things. Trump has done a few things good but there are 99 other things that aren't. One good thing doesn't justify the overall performance. Nixon signed some of the most progressive legislation by one sitting President ever, not since FDR,  (OSHA for workplace safety, handicap access to all buildings, environmental protection agency, endangered species act) but he was a crooked person and president. It's scary as hell that Alex Jones is seen as credible. Breitbart has been elevated to mainstream news source. When Steve Bannon was in charge of it, and he proclaimed it the 'Home of of the Alt Right' they had a regular column called "Black Crime'. Now dismantled because they got more scrutiny. But it was a list of any crime that blacks specifically conducted where there was a white victim and I'm supposed to take that as a credible source? Fox News is an outright GOP shill. So, how do I take their so called 'news' serious when Hannity and others are literally exchanging phone calls with the President to talk strategy? It can be argued that CNN or MSNBC has a left slant. But its not a foregone conclusion in that I mean it can be argued both ways. Maybe not successfully for some but there is room to debate. Fox News? None. With the sole exception of Tapper.

If CNN and MSNBC are fake news, the question begs, what is 'real news'?

Was asked by a non American last night to name something good about Trump's election and I said that the biggest take away I have is that that a non career politician is now seen as a legitimate candidate. The only other times I can recall historically off the top of my head is Ike and Grant, and they were war heroes. Generals from the military which I wouldn't want to make a habit.

Of the non politicians who I think could possibly make good presidents are:

Warren Buffet. But he's a bit up there in age.  I actually don't think Oprah would make a good president. I think she would make a decent head of a department. Possibly Mark Cuban, billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks. But not sure about his temperment.  What about from the right? Peter Schiff possibly. Colin Powell, even though he's establishment. Ron Paul has some great things about him but I also think deep down he is a bit of a "nationalist" and not in the good way. By default a President is a nationalist. Obama is a nationalist. Logically, any President of America is for what is best for America. You can want what is best for America by helping other countries. That isn't a mutually exclusive issue.
