"Watch out for them, they are human scum!” Trump comment about other Republicans he does not like. Maybe kidding again.

" President Trump told supporters Thursday night that Democratic candidate Joseph R. Biden “was only a good vice president because he understood how to kiss Barack Obama’s ass.”  Kidding again.

The US are on the way to a banana republic with this so called president

The USA has become a country where we changed from the Dept of Justice to the Dept of Injustice.

The politicians are the rulers and we are the lowly serfs.

Washington, DC is now where the DC means, District of Corruption. The "news media" no longer reports the news, but spins it to their own agenda. Where are the real investigative reporters?

After both Bushes, Clinton, and Obummer, only President Trump is trying to keep his campaign promises while being obstructed and lied about. The man has balls and the USA needs a forceful president to get things done.

Rep. Katie Hill threatens legal action over nude photos

The freshman California Democrat’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Daily Mail.

Attorneys for Rep. Katie Hill on Thursday threatened to bring legal action against a British tabloid for posting what it claims are nude photos of the freshman California Democrat.

Hill’s legal team — Marc Elias and Rachel Jacobs of the firm Perkins Coie — also suggested Hill was defamed over a report by the Daily Mail that she has a Nazi-inspired tattoo on her body.

In a cease-and-desist letter to Candace Trunzo, executive editor of the Daily Mail, Elias and Jacobs demanded that “you remove these photos from publication at once.” The newspaper ran a series of intimate photos of Hill and a former campaign staffer with whom it said she had an affair before Hill won her seat in Congress. Hill, who is going through an acrimonious divorce, has admitted to an “inappropriate” relationship with a female campaign staffer and apologized to her constituents over the matter.

Story Continued Below

Hill, however, has denied having a sexual relationship with her male legislative director, Graham Kelly. The conservative website RedState.org. reported that allegation initially on Oct. 18 and published a nude photo of Hill. The Hill-Kelly relationship was purportedly uncovered by Hill’s husband, Kenny Heslep. There is no proof that an improper relationship between Hill and Kelly — who also worked on her campaign — occurred. The House Ethics Committee is investigating the issue.

I see no way for America to reverse its current slide downwards. What will eventually happen is we become a Democratic Socialistic society. The youngest generations have had enough and have embraced socialism fully. Older generations can cry all they want but the future of the country is going to be that kind of system and the big corporations and 1% are very, very worried as they should.

The young generation (under 35) will reverse the military industrial complex and my guess we will close a lot of bases and military installations and the major wars will go away. If anything, special forces for surgical action if need be but the days of American military escapades is going to die out.

There will be a vocal and somewhat militant right from the deep south and midwest but it won't be enough. The south is changing, become more diverse. Georgia, North Carolina, and possible Tennessee will become purple or slightly blue in time due to migration (liberals/progressives moving in) or demographic shifts (low white birthrate, increased non white birthrates and migration).

I do think that a large number of latinos will be right of center. I know it sounds strange to say that given the present climate but the term latino is too broad. Its a very diverse group. Cubans will be right wing. Middle class Mexican Americans will be right wing. Fair skin latinos will be right wing. That will give the Republicans some hope. They will need to alter their immigration stance to some extent but not much. Poor and working class Latinos from Mexico and Salvador are actually against immigration from south of the border because those people are direct competition for jobs. Just like how the Irish rioted prior to Civil War because they saw freed blacks as direct competition in unskilled or low skilled labor.

In other words, America will be a bit more complex but overall left of center and no longer taking the lead militarily around the world but will be more of a consensus participant.

After all is said and done, China will be clearly the world leader. And I think eventually will replace America as a major role player in the middle east for similar reasons (oil).

With all due respect to Cav, Trump has sped up America's demise exponentially. I'll relate America to imperial Rome. They started out with some pretty good emperors. Expanded, open to new ways, peoples, tons of infrastructure that facilitated trade. Those well made Roman roads were great for trades. As the empire expanded, new goods were open and easy to get to, quickly and relatively safely.

Eventually you had your Neros, Caligulas, etc, that quickened the demise. That's where we are. Trump is along those lines. When its too late (I'm thinking even past Bernie Sanders) we will get great leaders but it will be too late. We will get a Marcus Aurelius but like him, it will be too late.

Obama reminded me of one of those emperors that people thought would be great after a bad leader and didn't live up to expectations. Instead of being a progressive reformer, Obama was essentially a centrist, establishment President who spoke well. Trump (and Pence) are scary. Trump was benign as a birther. He was laughed at for the most part and dismissed by the right. Trump is scary not because we got someone different than what we expected such as Obama to some extent but the 45% or so that voted for him knew exactly what he was and voted for him and remained loyal. THAT is the scary part. And that is the reason America is royally fucked, when rule of law, decency, ethics, tradition, even religious faith. There is no line. Even Nixon had a line as thoroughly corrupt morally as he was. He had just enough respect for the country and office to leave when it was clear. Trump is using tropes asking for civil war and hinting at violently resisting. The only thing that will cut into his hard core base is a crash of depression proportions. A slight recession won't be enough. Once you hit someone in the wallet bad enough, they will abandon you (Bush, Republicans in 2008).

The big lie is that the economy is great. The economy sucks. To be fair, it was bad under Obama. Obama's economy can be best be described as there are lies, damn lies and statistics. The great jobs prior to 2008, never came back. Rents went up dramatically, income didn't. I had an apartment paying $950 a month, 2 bedroom before I left the country over a decade ago. That same apartment now is about $2,000 a month. Incomes have not gone up anywhere near that. Its stagnant. People are working 2 jobs. I'm currently visiting LA and its very common to get in an Uber and the person has a day job. They leave their job as teacher, clerk, etc, and drive an Uber after work. The traditional college grad, no job experience, entry office job where you cut your teeth for a year or two and get a bump in pay is no longer there. The recent recent grad these days are working at the FedEx counter,  the car rental counter at the airport, assistant manager at Starbux, Enterprise rental car or the nigh The 3% unemployment rate is a complete fallacy. The working poor are working 2 or 3 jobs and those 2 or 3 jobs are counted in the stats as 2 or 3 people instead of 1 and so many out of the job market but are seen as employed by the stats.

Not just that the debt that the Republicans rightfully got on Obama about is now expanding faster than it did under Obama and when you bring it up, they will say '...but the unemployment rate is lowest ever' The unemployment was dropping each year of Obama's presidency after 2009. We are nursing at least 4 huge bubbles we didn't have in 2008. The economy is a house of cards  Even the stock market, that was going up each year under Obama and hit new highs his last few years has stalled. It hit a new high under Trump as well but its been stalled. I don't think we will end the ear close to the year high. Its's stalled. It's running on a sugar high from tax cuts. Companies are hiring new people with that money, they are not putting into production, manufacturing, additional R&D. Its gone into the stock market to boost CEO and senor exec salary and benefit packages.

CS,

You forgot some important things. The new generation does not want responsibility. They take Uber everywhere as they don't want to own a vehicle, a car or whatever.
They live in apartments as they don't want to own a house.

In Dallas, Texas they are actively building 100,000 (or more by the end of 2019) apartments as there is a demand for the apartments. Supply and demand. So yes, rents go up. No mystery here.

Key point, they don't want any responsibility so they work in the easy, service industries, like Starbux.

A capitalist economy will always have bubbles. The economy always expands and contracts, no mystery there.

...and no, the economy does not "suck", only in your mind. Remember, supply and demand rule the economy, thus apartment rents increase and the demand increases.

It doesn't matter what you or others think or say Cav, that is where the country is going. During their formative years they have seen 9/11, resulting in 2 wars that history is remembering as bad wars to have fought, they have seen the Great Recession. They have unprecedented college debt totaling over 1.5 trillion. They have seen mass shootings. They have seen mass shootings in their schools. They are watching kids south of the border in cages. They have completely lost faith in the older generation to govern as is.

Apartments, skyscrapers, etc were being built right up to the crash in 2008 and after. That is not proof. Housing stocks have been in a soft recession for a while now. Housing is slowing down. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/housing-starts-fall-9-in-september-but-high-permits-low-mortgage-rates-suggest-construction-slowdown-is-temporary-2019-10-17

Chinese money came in like an avalanche after 2008 which masked endemic issues. Now the Chinese money has slowed considerably. Americans in their 20s and 30s can't afford homes in most areas. That's why many are gentrifying the inner city and taking their chances. It's the only somewhat affordable housing left. They aren't coming to the inner city for altruistic reasons. They are priced out everywhere else and now the inner city is getting too expensive.

You're peeing in the win with regards to trying to convince them otherwise. It's too late. Pretty much every young person I know thinks like that. It's a done deal. Not all of them think this way but clearly enough of them that guarantees a huge shift in how America will govern and regulate itself.

CS, your comment as to what I or others might think is a two edge sword that also applies to you.

College debt, why? because they want everything NOW!! I flipped burgers or did what I had to do and I spent more years in college as I had to take it slow but I graduated with zero debt!!!

My generation has seen blood shed in the streets of the USA, we had Viet Nam, we had JFK assassinated, etc etc etc. So to this generation, man up/woman up and suck it up and make your way and make it better.
