Reported numbers not being accurate I totally agree with you. Why isn't Pattaya, Manila, Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur looking like Lombardy, Italy? Even remotely?

Italy has a well developed healthcare system with excellent doctors. A sick Italian doesn't have to come up with 1 or 2 weeks wages to pay for a CV-19 test! Plus Italy has an older population than the other countries you mention.

TYT is an obvious left progressive site. They go after establishment Dems as much as the Republicans to be fair. That said, facts are facts. Both parties use tragedies to cover up bullshit proposals. This time its the GOP and basically using the cover of a 'stimulus' bill to give big companies free money to do anything it wants including stock buybacks.

Hey baa99,

Thanks for your response. Maybe my response was lacking clarity. If so, that's my fault. Again, my point wasn't about Italy being able to document cases far better than developed countries. Even if they couldn't, there would still be a huge increase in covid19 illnesses and deaths.

Again, considering the size and scope of the exposure Thailand, Philippines, sub Saharan Africa, has compared to Italy, there should be reports of a huge numbers of people going to hospitals, dying, etc,

There isn't. Any sharp increase in sicknesses, no matter if you are in a developed country or not, has their own media. The world is far more informative about each other. Foreigners, expats, given their age would also be massively affected. So, no matter how bad a country's development is and how bad reporting is, given this virus effects in the rest of the world, and the very fact these places are well aware of the virus, there still aren't anything close to the number of cases there should be.

That is telling. It's hard to just attribute it to reporting given all the facts we know of. I can only conclude using reason and logic, there are underlying factors why these places aren't as affected as they should be. I am sure WHO and other organizations who are investigating this must have come to the same conclusion.

Why are these places uniquely under affected?

...and to be fair about the stimulus bill, house Democrats are trying to shoe horn in things like emissions standards, etc, that it couldn't get through both houses in regular times. That has to stop as well. I actually support increased emissions standards in some industries but the stimulus package isn't that fight. It has a specific narrowly focused function and it should be respected.

Arizona is a Trump state and considering their age, probably Fox News is their only source of news.

BS...tell the whole truth...the Dems are also using the crisis to SNEAK thru their shit!!! like...

In an email to all House GOP offices, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise said the new legislative proposal from Pelosi is aimed at "exploiting the COVID-19 public health crisis by attempting to force the inclusion of a socialist wish list of policies that have nothing to do with the public health and economic emergency."
or
Senate Democrats have proposed canceling federal student loan payments as the coronavirus pandemic causes the country’s economy to grind to a halt.

Emission standards are total BS during this crisis!

Did her husband get the drug from a doctor? did he dose himself? Yes, like dahhhh, President Trump is not a doctor....

The wife of an Arizona man who died after ingesting chloroquine phosphate to protect himself from the coronavirus warned the public on Monday not to "believe anything that the president says" and rely on doctors instead.
