Congressional investigators uncovered more than $1 billion dollars in potential waste and fraud in the Paycheck Protection Program. The money went to companies that “double dipped” and received multiple in violation of the program’s rules, according to a preliminary analysis by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis. The report says there is a “high risk that PPP loans may have been diverted from small businesses truly in need to ineligible businesses or even to criminals.” The subcommittee found more than 10,000 loans in which the borrowers obtained more than one loan. Because the Trump administration decided to only audit loans for more than $2 million, only 65 of the loans would otherwise have been subject to additional review. More than 600 loans totaling nearly $100 million went to companies that are barred or suspended from doing business with the federal government. More than 350 loans worth roughly $200 million went to government contractors that had been flagged by the federal government for performance or integrity issues. More than 11,000 additional borrowers had other red flags of various types. (NBC News / Chicago Tribune)

Melania Trump repeatedly used a private email account while in the White House, according to her senior adviser and friend. Stephanie Winston Wolkoff says she corresponded multiple times per day with Melania, and that “Melania and I both didn’t use White House emails.” Melania apparently used a private Trump Organization email address from the MelaniaTrump.com domain. The topics discussed using her private email include government hires and contracts, detailed schedules for Trump and Melania during Israeli and Japanese state visits, strategic partnerships for Melania’s Be Best initiative, logistics for the Easter egg roll, and finances for Trump’s inauguration. What did Trump say about H.Clinton's use of private email?

"Lock her up?"

I post this here in the 'merica thread, because of Bannon's close links to Trump and ongoing criminal court case for -  conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering - in the U.S.

It details a criminal inquiry by the Rome criminal court and efforts to 'rark up' fascism, in uRope and elsewhere.

It's an interesting, if unpleasant, read.

I've long read of Bannon basically trying to incite nationalism and fascism anywhere in Europe he can. Interesting thing is he doesn't seem to care if...say...African countries want to be be more nationalistic and end post colonial or chinese inroads.

"Western civilization, western culture, 'the west' are all euphemisms and dog whistling terms and its obvious what he means. The EU isn't perfect by any means but its seen the most peaceful period in Europe ever. Since the fall of Roman empire, and at least for the last 1000 years, Europe has had some sort of military conflict between each other at the very minimum every generation. The 30 years war the 100 years wars aren't misnamed. Technological advances in military weapons made the last two major conflicts (both World Wars) so devastating, it brought on its first sustained peaceful period.

“So send it in early and then go and vote,” Trump said. “You can't let them take your vote away, these people are playing dirty politics. So if you have an absentee ballot . . . you send it in, but I'd check it, follow it and go vote.”

“Let them send it in and let them go vote, and if their system's as good as they say it is, then obviously they won't be able to vote. If it isn't tabulated, they'll be able to vote,” Trump said.

Intentionally voting twice is illegal, and in many states, including North Carolina, it's a felony.

The Rittenhouse kid was in Wisconsin illegally. He was breaking the law just being there. He was a criminal just being there, underage with a gun. There isn't any 'but' , you can't be innocent while being a criminal. You can't be "defending property" while being a criminal and it be okay.

In his latest assault on mail-in balloting, Trump on Wednesday suggested North Carolinians should try to vote in-person even after casting mail-in ballots. Election authorities responded Thursday by pointing out that trying to vote more than once breaches state law and that it is a felony for a voter to intend to commit fraud by casting more than one ballot.
"It is illegal to vote twice in an election," Karen Brinson Bell, executive director of the North Carolina State Board of Elections, said in a message to voters.

There are no words any more to describe what is going on in the Ununited States. Venezuela in comparison is almost a working democracy. Well not really.
