The stock market hit an all time high (S&P 500 that is. DJIA almost got there) but has been falling lately. Don't be surprised of a crash later this month or more likely in October. The stock market has gone up in spite of all economic data saying it shouldn't. Which supports what many of us have said for a while. It's being arbitrarily propped up. The central bank has been propping it up for a while, pre Trump. Trump knows this. He spoke about it during his first campaign and it resonated with the masses because it made sense. Once in he not only let it happen, he would complain the Fed chief isn't doing enough of it.

You an only blow up a balloon so far until it pops.

My guess is he will run for President in 2024. And he's using Trump's messaging but he is much, much better at it and worse yet, he's a true believer. He straddles the line....a lot. The writer for his show had to quit because he was writing flat out racist things in forums, etc, Instead of condemning what he wrote, Carlson talked about 'cancel culture' and 'ruining a man's future'.

He's not even dog whistling any more. Carlson is full blown, extreme right. He will mix in a little populism. He will mix in a foreign policy that says we shouldn't get involved in foreign conflicts that appeals to everyone. But makes no bones about it, he's the 'real deal'. He's Charlottesville. And he is going to be very, very smart about it. He'll know how to gaslight perfect

People still watch CNN as a reliable, truthful and impartial source? It's crude anti Trump propaganda, they are political activists not journalists.

Still haven't gotten an answer as to what media we should be listening to for unbiased, apolitical news.

well start with the ones we should not be listening to, if there were a Nobel prize for fake news CNN would have not competition, especially that racist lemon guy.

So, when are we going to get to the specific question of the media sources we should listen to? ;)
