I still hold out a slim hope that Georgia elects two Democratic Senators.  If Trump changes tactics and drops his fraudulent voting lawsuits and instead goes after Republican States, like Georgia, Arizona and Wisconsin, to elect their own slate of electors to vote for him, he could face a backlash from some voters in Georgia, who vote for the 2 Democratic candidates.  Plus, Stacy Abrams should be able to increase the size of the Georgia Democratic base, if only by those citizens that turned 18 between November 3rd and January 5th. I really want to see Mitch McConnell become irrelevant.

Dems get the Senate it will probably last until 2022 and they'll lose it again. They have no message. Now that trump is out, what's the message that will get people voting for you over any random Republican candidate who is always going to be great at messaging and narratives. they know how to gaslight, lie, etc. Dems need kitchen table messaging. Climate change is important, but its not going to get a person off their ass to vote.

Actually, more vulnerable Republicans are up for re-election in the Senate in 2022, more than 2020.  If Democratic leadership, starting with Schumer, pull their heads out and come up with a winning strategy for the mid terms, they should have the majority on both chambers by then.  By 2024, McConnell will be too old to be Majority Leader.  The problem is between now and 2022, he will put up every obstacle to appointments and spending bills that he possibly can.  If the Democrats don’t win Georgia, don’t look for any bipartisanship over the next 2 years.

Dems lack the political nous to come up with anything. It will be obstruction, obstruction, obstruction. In this day and age, age is no longer the factor it once was. Record Dems come out this year, get a president elected, flipped 2 red states and they lose seats in the house and may not even take the Senate.

Don't see Dems doing anything to alter that in 2 years with an obstructionist. If they get the senate, maybe...but that will depend on the economy and covid19. Economically, we (and the rest of the world) are long overdue for a crash. That happens in the next 2 years, all bets are off.

I didn’t vote for Trump in the last two elections. But, if you take away all the rhetoric and just concentrate on concrete benefits you were provide by the Federal Government during the past four years, Trump starts looking better.  I'm better off financially since Trump became president, for example.  Maybe history will be kinder to Trump.

Son is a murdering arsehole, ok, that's clear

But asking his mum to comment is cheap shots, should never be allowed, what does it prove? Mums love their kids quite often regardless of what they do and often don't believe it. They often belive the kids are innocent because believing makes the mothers a failure mentally, it's even studied. TV series even, psychological text books etc.

Stupid cheap shots
