Stop Voting Republican, the NRA are a major supporter of Republicans and campaign against democrats.
The Republican Party cannot be impartial on this matter

Review the Second Amendment, a law passed in 1791 needs to be brought up to date. I am not saying “Right to bear Arms” should be restricted to Muskets and Flintlocks, but the reason why there were no mass shootings in the past was because the shooter could be overpowered whilst reloading.

Vote Bernie Sanders?

Oh shit, he's long been a pro gun supporter

As have many demovrats

Problem is Americans are parapoid

They fear China, Mexico, they think marijuana will turn you into a hyperactive mass murderer

They want guns because they think having a hidden 9mm pistol will fend off the USA Army/Navy/Air force if the USA Government decided to take over

TAKE OVER???? WTF THEY ARE ALREADY IN CONTROL

America's problems aren't gun laws, it's the USA Psychotic state of mind

They fear every one

They need guns

What is done in the UK or Germany?

As far as I am aware, there is a law  passed by the Senate and ready to go, that is being held up in Congress by, wait for it, all the Republicans and that Democrat that thinks he's a Mining Baron Republican.

I don't know the name/number of the law, but you can do your own research.

The law is about making background checks compulsory when buying guns, to weed out bad men and nutters, it came about after Sandy Hook and Columbine.

At the moment an 18 year old, sane or no, can go into a gun shop and come out looking like Rambo.

further -

There's been plenty of analysis this week on what has made the US such a stark outlier internationally when it comes to gun violence, and particularly mass shootings. This analysis has been going on for years; in 2017 a New York Times piece dove into the data, coming up with one answer - it's not mental health, it's not video games, it's not the overall level of violent crime - it's all the guns. Americans make up 4% of the world's population but own 42% of the guns, and studies have found that has a clear connection to the odds of it experiencing a mass shooting.

"American crime is simply more lethal", the piece concluded. "A New Yorker is just as likely to be robbed as a Londoner, for instance, but the New Yorker is 54 times more likely to be killed in the process."

This is - incredibly, unfortunately - a partisan issue. The New York Times this week asked all 50 Republican senators whether they would now support two Bills that passed in the House last year, that would allow stronger background checks for gun buyers. Most of them declined to answer, or said they would not. Many leaned on the need for more information - as if the research, and the litany of tragedies stretching back decades, does not exist.

In Alabama one can legally purchase an Assault Rifle, but it is illegal to purchase a Kinder Egg or a Dildo

I for one have not heard of any “Mass Choking” by miniature toys or MultipleDeaths by Orgasm in the places where such are legally available.

In the USA thread because of it's occurrence in the USA, but it's an international problem ::

Women and less often, men, and vary rarely, them, approaching wild animals with the misjudged opinion, that they are just little (and not so little) people, that will be cuddly, with the application of love...

Woman gored by bison in Yellowstone national park

An Ohio woman was gored by a bison after approaching the animal while visiting Yellowstone national park in Wyoming, park officials said on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old was visiting the national park from Grove City, Ohio, about 20 minutes outside Columbus.

Park officials say the woman, whose name has not been released, got within 10ft of the female bison on a nearby boardwalk. The animal then gored her and tossed her 10ft in the air.

She was treated by park emergency medical staff onsite and later transferred to Eastern Idaho regional medical center via ambulance with a puncture wound and other injuries.

Two other people were within 25ft of the same bison, but it is unclear if they were hurt.

Bison, which can weigh up to 2,000 pounds, have injured more people than any other animal in Yellowstone, according to park officials. They caution visitors to stay at least 25 yards away from all large wildlife, including sheep, deer and moose, and 100 yards away from bears and wolves.

Bison are known to be unpredictable animals that can charge at any moment, and can run up to 35 miles an hour, but this is the first reported incident this year of a bison goring an individual.

This article was amended on 1 June 2022 to clarify that the health status of the woman remains unclear

Now there's another shooting Tulsa - Hospital - at least three dead - Shooter is "down"

I watched a TV host wrapping up his hour and he had to announce the above, in the last few seconds of his programme. His distress and pain was palpable despite his professionalism.

Coss Comment : rather than asking "how do we stop this?" the utterance should be "We will stop this now".
