Trump Masterfully Played and Humiliated Pelousy and Chuckles Who Demanded Secrecy: He's A Genius

Great fun watching President Trump setting-up Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer today then eating them for lunch. While doing so, he exposed their dangerous level of resistance against the building of a wall that's desperately needed along our southern border. No previous meeting between Trump and Democrat leaders better highlighted the difference between President Trump, who is a true and courageous leader, versus Nancy and Chuck who are nothing but lifelong politicians. Love 'em or hate 'em, President Trump gets things done (while politicians merely read from scripts, interested only in increasing campaign donations and maintaining the status quo).

Schumer and Pelosi showed their true colors by expressing fear that shutting the government down (over border security) would be "unpopular", to which President Trump replied that he didn’t care about what's "popular" or not, saying: "I am proud to shut down the government for border security, Chuck. The people of this country don't want criminals and people that have lots of problems and drugs pouring into our country. I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down."

Yes, our President once again assured the American people that building the wall was going to get done one way or another.

Sean Hannity deleted past tweets that tied him to Cohen hours before Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison. - Hannity reportedly deleted over 270 tweets...  Cohen was Hannity's lawyer too, in a matter...

National Enquirer's parent company admitted that it paid Karen McDougal $150,000 in an attempt to influence the 2016 election - oooh, fuck, fuckedy, fuck

In August 2015, Trump met with Pecker in his Trump Tower office and asked how he could help the campaign. Pecker offered to use the National Enquirer to buy the silence of women if they tried to publicize alleged sexual encounters with Trump. https://www.wsj.com/articles/donald-trump-played-central-role-in-hush-payoffs-to-stormy-daniels-and-karen-mcdougal-1541786601

The incoming New York attorney general plans to launch a wide-ranging investigation into Trump, his family, and "anyone" in his orbit who may have violated the law. Letitia James plans to investigate any potential illegalities involving Trump's real estate holdings in New York, the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting, government subsidies Trump has received, whether he used his businesses to violate the emoluments clause, and the Trump Foundation. (NBC News)

Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are poised to benefit financially from the Opportunity Zone tax break they pushed Trump to pass. Opportunity Zones provide tax breaks to developers who invest in depressed American communities. Watchdog investigators say the pair are navigating an ethical minefield after becoming two of Trump's closest advisers without divesting from their real estate investments. The couple owns stakes in at least 13 properties held by Kushner's family firm that could now qualify for tax breaks because they are in Opportunity Zones in New Jersey, New York, and Maryland. Rudy Giuliani continues to seek lucrative security consulting contracts with foreign governments while representing Trump as part of his work for Giuliani Security and Safety. Giuliani is not a government employee and is not subject to government ethics rules. His security consulting contracts include clauses stipulating that he will not lobby on behalf of clients before the U.S. government. (New York Times)

The targets of U.S. sanctions are trying to hire lobbyists with connections to Trump in order to help them reduce or get out of those sanctions entirely. Some of the biggest payments to Washington's influence industry have gone to lobbyists, lawyers, and consultants with connections to Trump or his administration, a notion that reeks of the pay-to-play corruption often seen in the politics of many African, Asian, Middle Eastern, and former Soviet nations. "People overseas often want to hear that you know so-and-so, and can make a call to solve their problem," said a leading Washington sanctions lawyer. The trend has been encouraged by Trump administration officials who project Trump's willingness to make deals around sanctions and tariff exemptions. (New York Times)

Coss, per your request...

Each of the biggest Silicon Valley firms have more actual tangible power and larger budgets than a lot of actual nations. Why not realize that we have no choice but to constrain them as the corporate monopolies and trusts they have unfortunately become?

Dems Change Rules to Make It Easier to Raise Taxes

It is no surprise that one of the first acts of the new Democrat majority will be to make it easier to raise taxes on the American people.

Incoming House Rules Chairman Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) has announced that House Democrats have abandoned a rules plan that would have required a three-fifths House majority to raise taxes. The House rules proposal would have limited the new Democrat majority’s ability to raise taxes, something that the tax-and-spend left has never been comfortable with.

"The Democrat Caucus in the House of Represenatives voted to send a message to all American taxpayers—you are all a target and we want to make it as easy to raise taxes as possible," said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. "The 'new' Democrats are maintaining the brand of the old democrats. All tax hikes, all the time."
