The USA has a constitution with a Bill of Rights...2nd amendment allows for the "right to bear arms".

Thanks to the NRA, who continues to fight for this right, we in the USA are able to bear arms.

You have this right on your little island? ever have mass shootings? Yes you have! some years ago but have things changed?

The small seaside town of Aramoana was the site of New Zealand's worst mass murder in modern history. After an argument with his neighbour, David Gray shot and killed 13 people before police shot him dead.

Do New Zealand's gun ownership laws need to be strengthened?

Thousands of firearms remain potentially unaccounted for despite a police campaign for lifetime gun licence owners to renew or hand weapons in.

Police national manager operations Tony McLeod said nearly 50,000 people had not responded by the end of a campaign targeting lifetime gun licence holders to renew or surrender their weapons in 2002.

NZ's 1 million unregistered guns

There are more than a million guns in New Zealand and it is too late to try to find all the unregistered weapons, an MP said yesterday.

I will post this info in the NZ thread.

Thailand has very strict firearms laws. Evil foreign devils such as ourselves are completely banned from owning them, while it's not at all easy for the ordinary Thai to legally purchase one. As a result, most Thai firearms owners just ignore the laws. So the answer for the US is to tighten up it's firearms possession laws. Then American's gun violence will vanish overnight. :)

p.s. Just think if Ned Kelly and the rest of the bush rangers had been banned from owning firearms. Australian wouldn't have anything to sing about. :(

Doesn't seem to stop Thais selling guns, I often go to a range in Bangkok, not an issue, and until recently I could have gotten a licence but that's recently been changed I understand.

Shops near little India Bangkok - no shortage!

While the last image appears to be a wicked gun, it's just a .22 with lots of things on it

Interesting I was looking at prices, about double for what I can buy a (legal) revolver in Australia.
