A friend of mine has a video of Kobe's old HS team playing a HS team in my cousin's area in the state playoffs and the game is played at my HS as the neutral site. Surreal seeing it.

Trump was always going to be found innocent by the Senate. The media likes to milk these things. Same with the Clinton vote. It was going to go along party lines except for possibly one or two people.

Schiff has surprised me with how well he's presented the facts. The polls indicate that more people are now for a conviction. History will not be kind to Trump and those that support him in the government. Just like you are not going to find many people admitting they supported Nixon in the aftermath of Watergate, I believe the same will be for those who support Trump. Notice how silent people are about their support for Bush now? One can say they supported Clinton in the 90s and not be ridiculed for supporting a president that was impeached. Why? Because the impeachment was bullshit.

Trump is such an unmitigated disaster on every level. It's at the point where any good he has done and even the worse president in history can site something positive, it stands out because the usual is bad. When Republicans say the Democrats were plotting to get rid of Trump from day one, first, BOTH parties plan to take back the white house from day one. As if that's something new but going on 4 years later, Dems have been proven correct.

There is a recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where the star of the show (based in LA), wears a MAGA hat in restaurants, etc, so he can dine alone and not have people sitting next to him. The MAGA hat has become a de facto kkk hood. Make no mistake about it. People wear it as a dog whistle. At no time in American history has people continued to wear campaign paraphernalia after an election. Over 3 years after an election? They do it to intimidate and trigger other people in hopes for a reaction. The media knows this but for whatever reason won't put it to voice or print. Everyone is completely aware of the symbolism and why supporters continue to wear it. It's unprecedented.

On dating apps now its very common for women to say outright, if you are a Trump supporter do not contact them. Unfriending Trump supporters is probably the most common reason in America on Facebook for ending relationships. Trump  isn't Hitler but he is close enough to warrant comparisons in divisiveness. I can be accused of being hyperbolic but at this point, I really don't give a shit. The things being done by the government have a wide range of levels of evil.

Everyone has a line. Every one has a moral, ethical line that won't cross. We don't know Trump's moral line of demarcation. We haven't seen it yet. And by extension I have to question the same of the support. We like to think of evil things done in America as another time and generation that has been long gone. I no longer think that. There are thousands of people still alive who have participated and watched lynchings, including the woman who got Emmitt Till lynched. Some of the interned Japanese are still alive as well as some of the people who supported it.

I remember the 80s. Reagan wasn't liked by many but it never ended relationships. As bad as the younger Bush was, and it was bad, there were strained relationships, even some that ended but it was never to this level. He was a terrible President conducting 2 unpopular wars which is very bad but even he is deemed morally above Trump.

I repeat, I guarantee you in time, Trump supporters will be quiet about their support.

When you can openly support a child molesting candidate such as Roy Moore in the Alabama senate race, purely for your own means. And people still support that candidate as well as the President that supported him. It's just one of many things that is just beyond the pale. Molested migrant kids at the border. Hiring known racists such as Bannon and Miller and having them set policy. I can't believe this is even up for discussion.

The general line I hear when people support Trump where I am is its about Democrats/Liberals/the far left. What ever Trump does bad is ignored and deflected. The general defense is the left is getting so bad it has to be countered. Trump's negatives, as deplorable as they are is not defended much but is accepted as a counter weight to where America is going in their minds. They are willing to accept his accepting white supremacists, pedophiles, and as I've stated above, there is no fault they are unwilling to accept as long as he is fighting this 'deep state' the socialist left, whatever the bogeyman is.

People's arguments if you get to  crux of it all  is literally anything is acceptable as long as the bogeyman is fought and defeated. It's a means to an end.

I foresee a group lawsuit in the near future.

Kobe Bryant helicopter firm was not allowed to fly in fog

The company that owns the helicopter that was carrying basketball great Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven others when it crashed was not licensed to fly in foggy conditions, officials say.

Island Express Helicopters was limited to operating when the pilot was able to see clearly when flying.

Kobe's estate is worth hundreds of millions so not sure if they will even do anything but the other families, I can see doing it and I wouldn't blame them. I heard they had a pact not to ride in the copter at the same time for reasons such as this. Not wanting to orphan the kids.

I worked at a firm where all the senior management were contractually not allowed to ride in any aircraft, boat together. And I think it even extended to cars.

As a continuation of a previous post, the common excuse I hear for supporting Trump are the liberals and what they are doing and want to do to America. I agree with being against some things the left is doing, especially on a cultural level to some extent. The people I hear say that here are well educated, middle to upper class and they support Trump without saying they support Trump. It's nuanced language. The conversation is about the far left. And the gist is, I have no choice. They aren't cosigning Trump's behavior. They dismiss some of it as things to be expected by both parties.

They try to paint the moral equivalent of a German in 1930 looking at his choices. He hates the Communist party of Germany vehemently and thinks surely it will be German's destruction. He also hates the Social Democrat Party of Germany because its left leaning. So, what choice do I have he says. I have to go with the National Socialists German Workers Party also known as the Nazis. He is fully aware of the most profane and disturbing speeches in the beer halls in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, etc. But he defends his vote by focusing purely on the communists and socialists. He justifies it.

That's the moral equivalent we are seeing today. As if there is no other choice. I did not like Hillary at all. But I also knew to my core Trump was the ultimate evil. There were other choices. I could either not vote, take the lesser of two evils or go 3rd party with Jill Stein. Lastly, I could write in my own candidate. The vote for Trump and remaining support is saying there is no moral, ethical or legal line that can't be crossed because stopping the 'deep state', 'far left', whatever you call it is worse than anything we have seen out of Trump. The 1000s of kids abused physically and sexually in cages, the hiring and support of white supremacists, the overt castigating of the constitution. Nothing so far is too far. There is literally no line, including murder (the supporter who excused it in an interview if Trump shot someone) or dictatorship (another supporter saying she would support him being dictator with a smiling Bannon supporting it), supporting pedophiles for the Senate is too far.

That same German in 1930 could have done the same. There was another right wing party, the German Center Party headed by a man named Kaas, that was right of center or the German National People's part that was right of that.

Those who oppose Trump vigorously are being gaslighted by dismissing divisions as purely ideological. We can't debate things. We are snowflakes.  That we shouldn't make a moral judgment on anyone who supports him. Interesting thing is if there are Germans old enough now to have voted for the nazis, there would be a moral judgment. If any American voted for Nixon, there would be a moral judgment.

You rarely hear of conservatives unfriending those who have supported Pelosi, Obama, Schiff, because the aforementioned have not crossed the unsaid, unwritten moral and ethical lines we all agreed to in society. They don't have to be written down or explained, they are innate to society.

...one more thing. During the Republican primaries, there were other candidates. Candidates who had a track record of fighting the same things Trump voters profess to be against. Ted Cruz is a far right. He is against the same so called Deep State, far left, whatever bogeyman there is. There were others as well, just as far right. But you voted for the person that showed he had no moral or ethical center. None. That's telling.

Well they've stopped talking about the Flat Earth, and esp in NZ, they've stopped talking about Anti Vax benefits, since the measles outbreak...

I wonder what they'll flock to next, exposing the Knights Templar? who are secretly running the Deep State?  To put that in perspective, not exposing the Deep State, take that bit as read, no, exposing the shadowy organisation that was founded on and is still based in the secret secret Knights Templar.

disclaimer: I am a Noble Knight Companion of the Order of Solomon's Temple, and though I can't talk more on this, rest assured we do not run the Deep State, but we may if they get out of hand.
