America is run indirectly by fiat by corporations. No question. The Koch brothers literally own the Republcan party. The Keystone pipeline is a Koch company in Canada and the Republican party they paid for are willing to do anything for the money. The politicans are against Obamacare, not because of principle but because Kotch, other companies as well as the health care lobby told them to fight it to the death if you want to keep the money flowing. Republicans know it will work, always did, there is more than enough evidence from observing europe which has a far better health care pricing and delibery system than America. In fact, if America had biprtisan support, our health care would be the lowest in the world because of the discount from the sheer volume alone.

What hurts the American worker is the lack of competition. Michigan's governor effectively outlawed Tesla from Detroit car company pressure, the airines are now attempting to get mid east airlines regulated out of being competitive in America. The protectionaism that American companies get the government to do helps them have unprecedented power over the average American worker. More competiton from companies in each industy would force companies to compete for workers with wages and benefits now its the opposite, there are 20 people lined up to work the 60 hours a week that you complian about. This also results in higher prices for products and services due to lack of competition. Airlines and banks (as well as other industries like cable tv) are highway robbery. They fee you to death.

America is rotten on the inside in so many different ways and will continue its decline. China...you are next on deck as world's biggest economic power.

I don't think China is in very good shape itself either.

China is in a much better place than America historically. People often say about China "it can't last, they will have a bubble" "they will have a recession" of course they will. Its normal. The 2nd largest economy in a well connected world is NOT going to blow up and die. Japan has been stagnent for nearly 20 YEARS!!! and still remained the 2nd largest economy for almost all of that.

Recessions, downturns are NORMAL. America became the world's biggest economy around the 1900s eclipsing Britain. In the build up and since America had a recession, downturn, and about 3 or 4 near collapses, hair close to insolvency when the world was less connected economically. America had a downturn EVERY decade

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_recessions_in_the_United_States

Its much, much harder to do that these days because the world is infinitely more connected. China will be okay. The too big to fail theory is in effect.

Sometimes as Americans we act as if we are the only ones who can have recessions and still be okay. Thing is China is doing way, way more things right than we are. Sadly, we are quickening our own demise. China is at least trying to grow as best they can. American government has sold out to the corporations who do NOT have the country's best interest in mind. Just because they are Amercan does NOT automatically make them patriotic. I did a research paper in grad school that looked at the CEOs, they see themselves purely as globalists NOT American. They head companies that often have businesses in 20, 30, 50 countries. They pay lip service to 'creating American jobs' so there won't be a revolt. Big companies formed and built in America's heartland are now moving their entities to foreign locals to avoid US taxes and US laws. American CEOs. They dont' give a shit. Thats the big secret. If we knew as a collective how little the care they know it would be a revolt.

Benghazi committee subpoenas Hillary Clinton's emails

http://news.yahoo.com/benghazi-committee-to-subpoena-clinton-s-emails-192823541.html

The House Select Committee on Benghazi subpoenaed Clintonmail.com Wednesday afternoon, for all correspondence related to the 2012 Benghazi embassy attack.

The Washington Post initially broke the news that the State Department would likely be receiving subpoenas from the House inviestigative group which had discovered, hrough its investigation of the Benghazi attack, that Hillary Clinton had used a personal email account for diplomatic business while serving as secretary of state.

"Without access to the relevant electronic information and stored data on the server — which was reportedly registered to her home — there is no way the Committee, or anyone else, can fully explain why the Committee uncovered two email addresses,†Jamal D. Ware, communications director for the Select Committee on Benghazi said in a statement Wednesday.

“This is why former Secretary Clinton’s exclusive use of personal emails to conduct official U.S. government business is so problematic and raises significant issues for transparency,†Ware wrote. “The American people have a right to a full accounting of all the former Secretary’s emails, and the Committee is committed to working to uncover all the facts.â€...
