kamui
I have downloaded a Thai language course, but I realized that I don't like to learn Thai without a teacher. Therefore during my next trip I would like take a few days of Thai lessons to get the basic basics. Do you know a good school or private teacher near Sukhumvit?

Old Hippie
I know a lot of people who went to SomChart Language school on Soi 11, near the Aussie bar/steak house (I heard they may have moved to Soi 19 now). It is supposedly a very good place. There was also Ban Pasa Thai on Ploenchert Rd, near the skytrain stop. Good luck. http://www.bkkpages.com/education/language-schools/learn-thai/somchart-thai-language http://thai-language-online.com/resources/Bangkok_schools.shtml http://www.somchart.com/ Apparently it is now on SOi 19? Old Hippie
A lot of it is finding a school and teacher to suit you. Good luck. From what I have heard, if you speak no Thai, and have the time, AUA is the way to go...
