Coss
OK, in the unending quest to do stuff I've never done, I want to compose some music that has the basis of Morlam, i.e. similar rhythm and tonal structures. Can any one recommend to me a top or two artists and what could be considered the top two or three songs that most Thais would recognise? For those that are interested my weapons of choice are two Roland Keyboards and the excellent Reason software. Cheers Cosshasmusicinhishead. Dexi
Hard to pick out individual songs from what is a huge selection of different artists and styles....maybe something from Jintara ?To get the Morlam sound it must have the " kairn " sound in there somewhere. LizardKing
Oh Kee-rist. Are you really trying to get Thai3 back here? He knows his shit on this subject, but that is not worth the rest of the drama he brings!

Nervous God
There is some good new morlam out there some very funny and catchy stuff. Also i heard a few days ago in laos a band called laos rap. They are good! Far better and very polished sound. Much better than thaitanium. Not morlam though. Bird. Ergh.
