Lusty
A guy I know here in England has a plot of land on Koh Samui he wants to sell. Are there any law firms here in the UK that have any Thailand conveyancing specialists who could this work for him? Thanx in advance.
TheCorinthian
Best thing to do would be to contact the UK embassy in BKK. They would know the answer to that one.
Stickman
With the land deed being registered with the Land Department in Thailand, I imagine that they're going to have to involve lawyers in Thailand. And lawyers in Thailand, foreign or Thai, *should* be less expensive to use than British lawyers. As such, I would think it might be easiest for him to get in touch with a law firm in Thailand (that has Westerners on the staff).
Jess81
I would recommend getting a Thailand lawyer since it will be way cheaper than in the UK. The one I linked to above did some good work for me a few months back. They were very professional and deal with property issues all the time. I think it’s pretty unlikely to find a Thai lawyer in the UK and there is no way they will be cheaper. Good luck selling the land. I don’t think the market is great right now, but that all depends on what it was originally bought for.
