There will probably be a general election some time during the New Year. It is not known when that will be. But when it does happen be aware that the bars will be shut on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the week before the election, and on the Saturday and Sunday of election day itself. Mod EDIT: The General Election has now been announced as being on July 3rd. This means that the bars will be closed on June 24th, 25th and 26th, and again on July 2nd and July 3rd.
