nkped
Just went through one of those joys of being over 50, the colonoscopy. As with the first two, the worst part, by far, was the preparation. Now, you mix up a couple of quarts of a solution that mostly tastes like salt water. The procedure itself, as before was no big deal--quality drugs are a wonderful thing. This time no polyps, which was nice to hear. Then the part I didn't expect, come back in 10 years. :alert: While I'm not exactly complaining, is this something new? I was expecting 3 years or 5 at the most. MooNoi
So I have all this to look forward to. Sigh. :-( Had a lady in Pattaya last week do a colonoscopy of sorts on me. She wasn't medically trained, and I'm not sure what she found, but she seemed to do a decent job of it!
BelgianBoy
Piggy, She probably did a prostate check & massage, not a colonoscopy :) Biiiiig difference. BB
nkped
So I have all this to look forward to. Sigh. :-( On the bright side, it could be a barium enema, and that's just as unpleasant as it sounds.
Hugh_Hoy
I've had both procedures and the enema thing is HORRIBLE. Drink some liquid, then stick a tube up you butt and start pumping air up there: Fuck waterboarding. This beats dentists drills and boarding if you want to get some answers. Hugh_Hoy
For a really, really funny description of the procedure, click the link below. It will lead you to Miami Herald columnist Dave Barry. Good for some laughs. http://www.miamiherald.com/2009/02/11/427603/dave-barry-a-journey-into-my-colon.html HH

In Australia they would not wait 10 years, my brother just had one, and the missus and they were both told to do another in 5 years. 10 years is a very long time to wait until another check should take place, after all, bowel cancer is one of the most treatable of all cancers, why give that sucker an even chance
unit731
I had mine last year. Was able to watch all on color TV. Two doctors. I could not see the doctors but did hear their conversations. "What do think of this one?" "Snip it." "Oh, look at that one." etc.
Skatduder
Yuck. My 10 years is about up. Put my ass out. The only problem is for hours after I'm talking my ass off about the freaky things I have done in Los.
