Thai GF?

Actually, I don't know about your situation, but if a TG wants to visit her German BF, he must invite wants to . She must prove that she will return to LOS, which means she must prove that she has regular job with a regular income... Also he must pledge that he pays for all costs which might occur (like medical treatment) during her stay.

This is the cause for a lot of broken hearts on Thai related forums in Germany, since this means that it is impossible to obtain a tourist visa for a Thai BG.

Anyway, I would give the German embassy in BKK a call. They should know.

Applicants must prove that they have adequate funds for the intended stay and may not claim any public funds in this connection.

For any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the Visa Section of the German Embassy.

the German embassy will usually refuse to give a TG a visa.

The reason is invariably the same: they want proof that the TG will return to Thailand.

All the other points mentioned above are mere technicalities.

To prove the "intention to return" the following may be useful:

TG owns real estate in Thailand.

TG has dependent children in Thailand.

TG has held a stable, well paying white-collar job for a lengthy period of time. (Of course, the embassy figures that with a good job she cannot get a holiday of more than 10 days to travel. So better dont apply for more than that.)

TG has a fully paid package tour (NOT just a return ticket). Costs about 100,000 THB.

TG has travelled to other rich countries, preferrably countries where she needed a visa (NOT just Singapore).

The "intent of return" is judged by the Thai female embassy staff. So if your TG is rich, all of the above is not really necessary. Praewa would certainly get a visa. On the other side, if your TG is of lower caste than the embassy staff, all of the above may not be sufficient.

If the age difference between you and TG is much bigger than acceptable in Germany she will not get a visa (different rules apply for prostitutes who go to Germany to work there, they get their visa through the mob).
