liquidflux
Got sent the above photo by a friend of mine in BKK. The sign above the seats says something along the line of 'these seats for white skinned people' and is part of an advert for some whitening cream. The creams are nothing new of course, and I have no problem with them, but this advertisement is really in poor taste IMO. No shock they didn't put this one in English too. shygye
It has been a while since I have seen a BTS car that empty.
chuckwoww
Thais probably refused to use it because they were outraged by the ad.

ozpharlap
It has been a while since I have seen a BTS car that empty. Catch the BTS from an originating station, plenty of empty seats Of course, if you catch it from the sanook stations (Asoke, Nana etc) then it looks like a pack of sardines, and smells about the same
preahko
At least a few Thais are indignant over this...if you can read Thai, see here for some comments on it: http://www.bts.co.th/th/wbr_view.asp?id=446455

Horneytorney
in western countries this kind of advertisement would cause outrage. In Asia it is just considered...funny! advertisement with a touch of racism is pretty common all over Asia...
