Coss
I just saw this: Usual Thai cooking show with Semi-attractive TV presenter woman and Somchai's mother in her outdoor kitchen. They took 3 of those great big river prawns, put them in a wok, about 2 cups of coca-cola and then the usual lemongrass, galanga, chillies, lime leaves etc to make a Tom Yam soup/sauce. Coca-Cola ? are they nuts? Has anyone seen this in practise? I couldn't think of anything worse!

Redbaron
coke's a great ingredient to use if you want to tenderise meat (red meat mainly). Add it to whatever flavoured marinade you use and the coke breaks the tendons in the meat a hell of a lot quicker than usual marinades - making it more tender. Not sure how it would go on seafood though
