khunsanuk
Hi, It's my wife's b'day towards the end of the month and she would like a Galaxy Tab. The question now is to get one now or wait for the new models which are coming out early June. I'm afraid I know next to nothing about tabs, so would welcome any info people have re differences between the current and new models. I guess she'll need one with a SIM to be able to use it 'on the road', right? Sanuk!
kamui
I am sure you know the answer already. You should wait, either for the price to drop or for the new model...
khunsanuk
Hi, Thanks, kinda figured that, but still ... The 'old' model has already dropped from 23K to 12K here, but I think that one doesn't have the option of a SIM. Sanuk!
chelseafan
Would that be for an unlocked version ? As I may buy one on my next trip ?
whosyourdaddy
The 10 inch is coming out in a few more weeks. The Toshiba unnamed tablet , dell playbook, notion ink adam, LG G slate all we will be lanched in a few weeks/months. I would wait.. Why pay a premier price to have the first ones out. khunsanuk
Hi, Right, discussed it with my wife yesterday and she too prefers to wait. Her favorite so far seems to be the 8.9" version. "Would that be for an unlocked version ?" No idea what you are talking about. What do you mean with locked? Sanuk!

LizardKing
Aren't these locked into certain networks ? That's not a business model used in Thailand...
Pom Michael
Not so sure - maybe not 100% the same as the USA. But when I bought the iPhone4, there was a price difference (I believe about THB 4,000 or so) if you just bought the phone compared to if you bought the phone and the data sim contract. Cheers!
