His Majesty the King has issued a royal command to dissolve the House of Representatives tomorrow, May 10, acting government spokesman Panitan Wattnayagorn said on Monday.

Mr Panitan said the general election has tentatively been scheduled for July 3.

The decree dated on May 9 will come into force when it is published in the Royal Gazette tomorrow.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, who countersigned the royal command, will address the nation on this matter on television tonight at 8.30pm, he said.

Puea Thaksin is demanding they be allowed to form the government if they get the most seats. Interesting argument ... since the poll show there is no way the PT can get a majority. Problem is that the other parties are so pissed off at the Takkyites that none is willing to join them in forming a government. The probability is that the other parties will join with the Dems to form another government closely resembling the present one.

Interesting comment on the dissolution. Big mouthed blow hard Jatuporn has lost his parliamentary immunity. He can be thrown in the slammer now the next time he spouts his diatribes.
