Roger_Baby
Will be in BKK next week entertaining freeloading in-laws. Any suggestions for eating on the cheap? These animals love buffets. Thank you.
sanddawg1
Best Beef, On Nut (went there last night) Cook it yourself hot plates 199 baht you can cook and eat for 2 hours. Good quality for the money. S1
dddave
Just up towards Sukhumvit soi 50 (Tesco/Lotus) from the afore mentioned BEST BEEF is a Thai B-B-Q that has a decent selection and best of all, electric burners so you don't get smoke in your eyes. There is a live music stage in the back that gets a bit loud, the front area is quieter. There is also a great evening street restaurant just past Central World on the same side, going towards Praturnam; great Isan food at reasonable prices. Specialist
There's a little covered patio on Sukhumvit Soi 3/1, just off Suk. Shrimp or seafood pad Thai + Thai iced tea (iced tea with milk) costs 80 baht. (I normally give them 100 total.) Delicious! I usually eat lunch and/or dinner there several times when I'm in town. And there's always the Siam Paragon food court. Largest food court in all of Asia, or so I'm told. (LOTS of options! All of the ones I've tried have been good, and not outrageously expensive.) Roger_Baby
Oh yeah. I remember that place. Sounds good. Thanks. Btw, does Baccarra still put on the buffet on Fridays?
