Is it possible to rent a post office box in Bangkok (a central place to receive mail, if you were going to move a handful of times over the year)? Also safe deposit boxes, can you pick one up? I'm not an official backpacker, but would like to spend some time trekking and if it's extended, would be looking for a temp holding place other than a hotel or apartment safe. radioman Posted June 22, 2011 Report Share Posted June 22, 2011 PO boxes can be had in most places. I have friends who keep boxes at Nana post office and visit once or twice a year. Not sure about safe deposit boxes. Maybe Thai post has such a service but other than banks I don't know where else you would go. Safety Deposit box not as important but if it's not a hassle wouldn't mind having one. Otherwise will keep small emergency stash with friends. The_Munchmaster Posted June 23, 2011 Report Share Posted June 23, 2011 I recall a safety deposit box facility in an office building on Rama IV, around the corner from Suriwongse Road (you had to climb a flight of steps to the buildings entrance).
