StoneSoup
She vows to restore "international relations", apparently referring to Cambodia. Translation: All the furor on the Cambodian side of the Prah Venehr temple issue was "manufactured" to order, at Thaksin's request, in order to discredit the sitting Thai government. The problem now miraculously resolves itself, based on the "superior statesmanship" of the new PTP administration.

Flashermac
Why is this urgent? Are we supposed to join forces and try to stop her? I'm with Soupy. Takky is Wun Sen's buddy. Now they can get to dividing up the spoils again and forget the border.

radioman
5 parties!? Most of whom sided with the Democrats last time out. Just goes to show that holding on to the rice bowl factors way over any kind of policy issues. But then I guess that was the case last time when the Dems were squeezed in. Flashermac
Politicians change parties here with much more ease than in the west. Most parties have no platforms anyway. They are just formed to make money. The Democrat is the closest to a real party, 65 years old. Thaksin created his Thai Rak Thai with the stated goal of making himself PM - and did.
