Coss Posted July 21, 2011 Report Share Posted July 21, 2011 Early Benchmarks Reveal New MacBook Air Rivaling High-End 2010 MacBook Pro According to the report, not only do the new MacBook Air models at least double the scores of the previous generation in testing with Geekbench, but the new machines also compare extremely favorably to even high-end MacBook Pro models from last year. Link Man, looking at those scores I realize how fortunate I am with my 15 " MacBook Pro, early 2011, 2.2Ghz i7 quadcore. I'm getting consistent 111xx scores on GeekBench, approx twice as fast as the new 13-inch MacBook Air Mind you the Airs aren't supposed to do Final Cut Pro grunt work I suppose... Was never that keen on the white plastic myself, even though I had a 12" iBook G4 for years, (still got it actually but never really use it). Simie.
