He was picking up fairly attractive western women, who had been so neglected that they were easy prey. Back in my Peace Corps days one of my buddies who taught in Bangkok spent his time shagging western air hostesses. Sometimes they even took him to Pattaya with all expenses paid. Sounds like me, though Laos is my current destination, LOS and Cambodia and Philippines are plan Bs. Even Vietnam, or Burma. Good luck and it sounds like there'll be a number of newly arrived board members, in LOS or nearby, in the months leading up to Xmas, maybe beers and so on will be in order.
