Britain's rioters: young, poor and disillusioned

That's the headline of an internet article that provides the following quote: "Nobody is doing nothing for us — not the politicians, not the cops, no one, said a 19-year-old who lives near Tottenham, the blighted London neighborhood where the riots started".

Now, I know--I'm postive--that the great liberal thinkers on this board are aghast that nobody is carrying these people on their shoulders. But this quote kind of sums up the feelings of "entitlement" socialsim fosters. Socialism's "kissing cousin" (Liberalism)is, IMO, equally bad and evil. It takes away incentive and responsibility and replaces them with dependence, lack of self-esteem, and the belief that other people's fruits of labor are their's for the taking or destruction.

Socialism and Libtardism are evil and should be outlawed in the U.S. Thank heavens that the Tea Party drew a line in the sand and is trying to starve libtardism and socialism in the U.S. I hope it is not too late.

I'm sure this is not what is meant by whomsoever lacked the education to make a sensible quote.

I read this (Nobody is doing nothing for us — not the politicians, not the cops, no one) as "Somebody is doing something for us — the politicians, the cops, someone".

After if Nobody is doing nothing, somebody is doing something...

There are few, if any, truly non-socialist societies.

You would need things like privately owned armed forces... it happened in medieval times... and virtually no state owned organisations or facilities. The president would need to rent.

Paying politicians wouldn't occur, meaning politics would be a hobby for the rich... or... countries run by committee outside of working hours.

(And we all know what THAT'S called.) :yikes:

I don't think any tea bagger wants to see a militia let alone be part of a militia instead of having a police force and military.

During the days of the Wild West, some people dug their well on the opposite side of their neighbor's wall whereas their neighbor put their outhouse a few feet from the wall. Of course the water got contaminated. Without government regulations, I don't think any tea bagger would want to drink water that is contaminated by an outhouse or septic tank system.

Towards the end of the riots we saw what I regard as a positive sign - the formation of vigilante groups of law abiding citizens sick of the pathetic stand-back-and-let-them-riot police attitude. These groups armed with baseball bats, iron bars etc.protecting their homes and shops will effectively put and end to these riots :susel: Many of those involved in the trouble don`t deserve to live in Britain. They should be deported to somewhere like Somalia or Afghanistan where they can act out their gangster fantasies for real :grinyes:

These are called "nanny state" regulations in Australia, stuff like speed limits on roads...

I mean if a man is shitting in the water table upstream from you, a real man should be able to go and fix the problem himself. (And hope he hasn't got more guns than you).

Getting back to the riots, the media is making hay with their vigilante talk and applauding the ordinary man who has finally take enough.

By coincidence this week I've started reading Chomsky and Herman's Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media which surprisingly confirms a lot of what I have always thought anyway. B)

You can't deport a citizen from his own country although the USA will let you leave the USA but not let you come back!
